Hello Pros (operated by PRO WEB CONSULTANT PTY LTD) connects homeowners with verified local tradies, launching first in New South Wales. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect and why.
Homeowners posting a project: your name, phone number, email address, and project details (trade, suburb and postcode, description). Tradies joining as pros: your name, phone number, email address, ABN, and the licence, insurance and workers compensation details needed to verify you under New South Wales rules. We do not collect payment information in the app.
To match your project with verified tradies in your area and let up to 3 of them contact you about that project only. To verify a tradie's ABN, licence, insurance and workers compensation status before they receive any job, and to pause a pro whose credentials expire. To operate and improve the platform and to respond to support requests.
Your contact details are shared only with the verified tradies matched to your project (never more than 3), for that project only. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it for advertising. Service providers that host or run the platform may process data only on our instructions.
Project details are kept until the project closes, plus 12 months for support. Verification records are kept while a pro account is active, plus 12 months after the account closes.
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop matching you, by contacting us at support@hello-pros.com.au. If you are a homeowner, you can close a project at any time; matched tradies will no longer be given your details for new projects.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Verification documents are used only for the verification check described above.
If you believe we have breached your privacy, please contact us first at support@hello-pros.com.au and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and post the new version here.
